Assisted with toxicological data acquisition and human health risk assessments; groundwater, sediment, and soil sampling at contaminated sites; assisted with remedial investigations, environmental impact statements, responsible for laboratory liaison and quality assurance data evaluations; determined appropriate analytical methods for detecting constituents of concern, data quality objectives, and detection limit goals; and wrote sample/analysis and health/safety plans.

GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT, Department of Environmental Health, University of Washington (UW). Investigated the correlation between alveolar CO2 levels & organic solvents in expired breath of humans.
1989 – 1990
RESEARCH ASSISTANT, Western Region Hazardous Substance Research Center, Oregon State University. Investigated anaerobic biodegradation of PCBs in New Bedford Harbor sediments. Conducted batch reactor studies under various environmental conditions. Performed GC/ECD and ion chromatography analyses and maintained database for tracking degradation of parent PCBs and formation of metabolites. Developed a model to predict dechlorination pathways for chlorinated organic compounds.
